The Brisbane Pool Spa Life Expo has once again proven to be a pivotal event for the pool, spa, and outdoor living industry, drawing in an audience of highly engaged, purchase-ready consumers.
While overall attendance at the Brisbane Pool Spa Life Expo reflected broader economic challenges seen across the market, the calibre of attendees was notably high. Visitors arrived with genuine intent, plans in hand upon arrival, and many ready to make purchasing decisions on the spot. Contracts were signed across both days of the event, delivering strong outcomes for exhibitors and reinforcing the Expo’s value as a results-driven platform.
“This Expo has delivered the best qualified leads of any show we’ve ever done. And we’ve done a lot of shows at other venues. We always come to the Pool Spa Life Expo, and it’s always been good, but this year has been by far the best. In fact, yesterday (Saturday), we had as many leads as we did over the entire weekend last year. And we were still happy last year!”

“This has been awesome for us, really good. A lot of traffic through the stand this year. There have been a lot of customers out this weekend looking for options on what to do with their old pools, people who have just purchased a new house with an old pool and want to get advice on updating, repairing, and simply replacing. It’s been great to meet customers and network with the exhibitors”

Exhibitor feedback highlighted a clear shift in attendee behaviour. Unlike previous years, the 2025 audience came with purpose: ready to invest, not just browse. The result was a show floor buzzing with productive engagement, high-value discussions, and a strong return on investment for businesses.
“The Expo has been really good for us. We’ve been constant all through, we’ve had five people working on the stand across the weekend, and I don’t think there have been any down moments. It’s been great. Saturday afternoon did slow down, but we’ve been constantly busy across the two days, and the quality of customers has been fantastic. Everyone has done their homework, asking us some intrinsic questions about the products.”

Despite cost-of-living pressures and evolving consumer priorities, the expo demonstrated the ongoing strength and resilience of the pool and spa industry. For SPASA and our members, this event reinforced the value of face-to-face interactions in an increasingly digital landscape.
“The Pool Spa Life Expo continues to be a cornerstone event for our industry in Brisbane,” said Bree Bensley, Executive Manager – Marketing, SPASA. “The quality of buyers in Brisbane confirms that consumer demand remains strong, even in ‘hard times’. The results speak for themselves, with many of our members walking away with solid leads, signed deals, and renewed confidence in the market.”
Our digital campaign delivered significant uplift across key metrics. Website traffic increased by 12% during the campaign period, with sessions up 9%, and social media reach soaring to over 1.7 million impressions. These results signal strong consumer intent and growing digital interest in the category.
This data suggests that although attendance was more intentional—potentially influenced by ticket pricing that discourages casual visitors—the strategy is working. By attracting serious buyers, we’re helping our exhibitors connect with high-quality prospects, ultimately driving better business outcomes.
The Networking Drinks, sponsored by The Pool Tile Company, provided a valuable opportunity for exhibitors, SPASA members, and industry professionals to connect beyond the show floor, this encouraged conversation, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas in a relaxed setting, reinforcing the expo’s role not only as a sales platform but also as a space for meaningful industry engagement.
