Directors

Anthony Grice
Chairman

Current CEO of Clark Rubber, Anthony has been within the Australian retail industry for over 25 years’. He leads a group of professionals who together are responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the business and drive financial performance for the Clark Rubber Franchise. Additionally, Anthony also serves as the Chairman of the Pool Franchise Council, meaning he brings a wealth of knowledge to the board.

Andrew Pullen
Director

Andrew is Managing Director at Vortex Leisure, which is known in the industry as Spa World. He has been there over 13 years. Spa World is now thought to be the largest spa specialist retail group worldwide. Additional to his role with Vortex Leisure, Andrew is also the Vice President of Asia Pacific for Jacuzzi brands, the owner of Vortex Leisure.

Anthony Cross
Director

Anthony brings over 16 years’ experience in the Pool and Spa Industry to the SPASA Australia board. Having recently sat as a committee member for the Australian Standards change to AS1839 Anthonyunderstands the ins and outs of the industry and the standards within it.

Lynley Papineau
Director

Executive Director of Aquatic Leisure Technologies, Lynley brings more than 20 years industry experience to SPASA Australia. She received the 2001 Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award, & was awarded the Centenary Medal by the Commonwealth of Australia for her contribution to business.

Steven Humphris
Director

With 23 years of management experience in the swimming pool industry, Steven has developed the leadership and communication skills required to be a SPASA board member. Steven is committed to a single National Industry Association of the swimming pool industry to advocate, develop and drive our industry forward. 

Tom Boadle
Director

With a 15 year history within the swimming pool industry, Tom has had the privilege to develop a broad range of experiences across core business disciplines including sales, marketing, financial, strategic, manufacturing and technology. Tom draws on both national and international experience to valuably contribute to the future, success, sustainability, and prosperity of the Australian Swimming Pool Industry.

Brandon Hill
Director

A committed and enthusiastic Senior Executive from Swimart ANZ with extensive leadership skills, focused on enhancing SPASA’s vision and strategy, team development, commercial and trade partnerships. Adept in aligning change management and operational efficiencies to deliver optimum financial results.

Valentina Tripp
Director

Valentina is currently Managing Director, APAC for Fluidra, leading the transformation across the APAC region to drive sustainable growth in the pool and wellness industry.  Val has a strong interest in water reform, ethical and sustainable global supply chains, health and wellness for SPASA Members, good Association governance, Ai and the transition to a renewable energy future.

Lindsay McGrath
Chief Executive Officer

A motivated, intuitive and goal-driven strategist.  Lindsay views challenges with enthusiasm and sceptical optimism. An inclusive culture builder, utilising a wide range of experiences in leadership across various trade, corporate and non-for-profit sectors.

Spiros Dassakis
Chief Policy Officer

As Chief Policy Officer, Spiros is responsible for the national advocacy of the Swimming Pool and Spa Association (SPASA), and is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Research and Learning (IRLearning), which is an advisory and research organisation that is a wholly owned subsidiary of SPASA. 

Prior to joining SPASA Australia, Spiros had a successful track record in managing, developing and implementing solutions for a diverse range of private and public companies.

Wendy Donaldson
General Manager of Institute of Research and Learning

As General Manager for SPASA’s Registered Training Organisation (iRL), Wendy ensures our industry members are at the forefront of education and training in the Pool and Spa Industry. The Institute of Research & Learning (IRLearning) is dedicated entirely to the industry across Australia and New Zealand. To maintain the strength of its scope, the Team at IRLearning work with a variety of stakeholders and governments to ensure that the forecasted increase in workforce is underpinned by upgrading existing swimming pool and spa qualifications.
