The Institute of Research and Learning (IRLearning) is becoming SPASA Training, bringing our training offering more visibly under the SPASA name.
While the name and look are changing, what sits behind them is not. IRLearning has always been part of the SPASA family, operating as SPASA Australia’s training division and supporting the development of skilled, knowledgeable and confident professionals across the swimming pool and spa industry.
The move to SPASA Training is about making that connection clearer.
By bringing our training under one recognisable SPASA identity, students, members, employers and the wider industry can more easily see the connection between the training we deliver and the association that represents and supports the industry.
SPASA Training will continue to deliver practical, industry-focused education designed around the real needs of the swimming pool and spa sector.
From nationally recognised qualifications and traineeships to workshops, e-learning, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and tailored training solutions, our programs support people at different stages of their careers, from those taking their first steps into the industry to experienced professionals looking to formalise, expand or update their skills.
Our training covers key areas including swimming pool and spa building, service and maintenance, water quality, barrier inspections, business and retail, leadership and management, and other specialist areas relevant to our industry.
Importantly, our training is shaped by people who understand the industry. Our trainers and assessors bring practical experience and industry knowledge into the learning environment, helping students develop skills they can apply in the real world.
The transition to SPASA Training represents a stronger connection between education and the wider work SPASA undertakes to support the industry.
Training plays an important role in building capability, supporting career pathways and lifting professional standards. Bringing it clearly under the SPASA banner makes it easier to recognise training as part of that bigger picture.
For existing students, employers and industry partners, you can expect the same commitment to practical, relevant and flexible training. What changes is how we present it to the industry.
A new look. A new name. The same purpose: developing the people, skills and knowledge that move our industry forward.
