Award Winning Pools and Spas from the 2026 SPASA Queensland Awards

June 21st, 2026

The 2026 SPASA Awards of Excellence in Queensland lit up Saturday night as gold winners, highly commended recipients, and proud nominees came together to celebrate the outstanding achievements and innovation driving Queensland’s thriving pool and spa industry.

"Congratulations to all our Queensland winners for the 2026 SPASA Awards of Excellence. Taking home a Gold award reflects your dedication to deliver high quality projects, service and products. Well done to Rogers Pools for being recognised as the 2026 Queensland Business of the Year. The Awards are a highlight of the year where members can connect and celebrate and I look forward to seeing a strong Queensland contingent at the Australasian Awards in August on the Gold Coast.” said Kristin Brookfield, Chief Executive Officer, SPASA

Concrete Pool of the Year

Rogers Pools "Granito"

Carved directly from a granite outcrop high on Ashgrove Hill, this sculptural pool and spa transforms an extreme site into a refined retreat. Defined by flowing curves, Sea Mist mosaics and Linen Travertine stonework, the project blends advanced engineering with organic form. Built under extraordinary access and construction constraints, it stands as a bold expression of craftsmanship, innovation and site-responsive design.

"The pool and spa have been designed to deliver a balance of functionality, comfort and architectural impact while responding directly to the site’s extreme conditions. Despite being constructed entirely on a solid granite outcrop, the layout provides generous, practical water space suitable for everyday use, relaxation and entertaining. Ease of use is achieved through carefully considered entry points, broad curved steps and an integrated underwater daybed that offers both lounging and transition space within the pool. The raised spa is positioned for intuitive access while remaining visually connected to the main pool, allowing seamless movement between zones." Rogers Pools

Enhancement of the Year

Flotech Pools "Jabiru"

Inspired by the Kimberley region, this 25.1m long by 18m wide freeform masterpiece redefines luxury. Acting as the primary facade for the home, the dual-level design features a cantilevered infinity edge, custom waterslide, & grotto. From the 150-cubic-metre monolithic pour to the seamless blend of tile, stone, rock, timber & raw concrete, the build reflects elite workmanship. It is a technical feat of engineering that perfectly balances a rugged, natural aesthetic with high-end resort living.

"While most projects have a single "hero" feature, this project is unique in its entirety as a dual-level swimming pool. The top level features a cantilevered infinity edge that suspends out over the bottom level, creating a water curtain for the kids to pass through on the custom concrete waterslide." Flotech Pools

Fibreglass Pool of the Year

Gen2 Pools "Yeppoon"

Three bodies of water. A two-piece 20-metre lap pool joined on site. Rock excavation on a sloping acreage block with sweeping views across the Capricorn Coast hinterland. When Brian and Bonnie Smith retired, they knew what they wanted, and Gen2 Pools delivered all of it. A Compass Fastlane, Sanctuary and X Trainer Spa, set within an engineered raised deck structure, built over 18 months on a hillside that tested every part of the team's capability.

"The most technically significant design element in this project is the two-piece Fastlane lap pool. A standard fibreglass pool shell is manufactured and transported as a single unit. A 20-metre pool exceeds transport limits and must be manufactured in two sections, each delivered separately and joined on site. The joining process requires precise preparation of both flanged ends, correct alignment of the two sections, and an engineered connection that produces a watertight and structurally continuous shell." Gen2 Pools

Freeform Pool of the Year

Flotech Pools "Jabiru"

Inspired by the Kimberley region, this 25.1m long by 18m wide freeform masterpiece redefines luxury. Acting as the primary facade for the home, the dual-level design features a cantilevered infinity edge, custom waterslide, & grotto. From the 150-cubic-metre monolithic pour to the seamless blend of tile, stone, rock, timber & raw concrete, the build reflects elite workmanship. It is a technical feat of engineering that perfectly balances a rugged, natural aesthetic with high-end resort living.

"Every element of this project presented a significant design challenge, primarily due to the total absence of straight lines. The layout incorporated over 20 specific radius points, requiring extreme precision to ensure the two distinct levels functioned seamlessly while merging the pool structure directly with the house. To achieve a high-end, architectural finish, we incorporated several "floating" features: The boardwalk was designed to appear as if it is hovering over the lower infinity edge, and the spa coping was integrated in a way to look like it is suspended/hovering over the spa spillway." - Flotech Pools

Prefabricated Pool of the Year

Queensland Plunge Pools "Newmarket Views"

Perched above the Newmarket streetscape, this custom 3m x 6m DIPP63 precast plunge pool transforms a challenging elevated site into a stunning outdoor retreat. Installed fully above ground on a pier-supported engineered base, the pool aligns perfectly with the home’s renovated entertaining deck while capturing sweeping suburban views. The fully tiled interior and integrated entry steps deliver both premium aesthetics and everyday functionality.

"The design is highly functional and well suited to the site conditions. By using a precast plunge pool shell elevated on an engineered pier-supported base, the project achieves a structurally sound solution while allowing the pool to align perfectly with the new deck and house level.

The integrated entry steps improve usability and safety while maintaining the sleek rectangular form. The pool’s proportions provide enough swimming and relaxation space without overwhelming the available outdoor area." - Queensland Plunge Pools

Renovation Project of the Year

Living Style Co "Noosa Springs Views"

This project showcases the transformation of an outdated pool into a contemporary outdoor feature through a carefully engineered structural renovation. By constructing a new reinforced concrete pool within the original shell, the water level was raised to align with the surrounding patio, creating a seamless connection between the pool and the outdoor entertaining area while maximising views across the adjoining golf course and lakes.

"The design significantly improves the functionality and usability of the pool area by aligning the finished water level with the adjacent patio and outdoor entertaining spaces. This creates a strong visual and physical connection between the pool and the surrounding living areas." - Living Style Co

Small Pool of the Year

Noble Pools & Construction "Ridge Residence"

The Ridge Residence, is a sculptural curved pool that seamlessly blends luxury, functionality, bushland beauty with expansive coastal views. It delivers a high calibre swimming and wellness experience and creates a striking centrepiece that elevates both lifestyle and landscape.

The project demonstrates strong environmental responsiveness through considered form, material selection, and positioning. The radius home and pool design complements the organic bush terrain, while colour pallets were specified to integrate seamlessly with the native vegetation. Glare reduction, strategic lighting placement, and material durability were also prioritised to ensure long-term performance within the natural setting, without compromising aesthetic refinement. - Noble Pools & Construction

Spa of the Year

Queensland Family Pools & Spas "Waterline Retreat"

A striking centrepiece of the Mooloolaba Oasis project, the bespoke fully tiled raised spa showcases master craftsmanship through its unique rolled edges and premium Eclipse Spanish Glass finish. Elevated above the pool and designed to gently spill water onto the adjoining bench, the spa creates a seamless secondary water feature, delivering a sophisticated fusion of luxury, innovation and resort style relaxation.

"This project demonstrates an exceptional standard of workmanship across all construction and finishing elements, with particular distinction achieved through the construction of the fully tiled raised inground spa. The spa’s complex organic form and rolled edge design required an extraordinary level of precision rarely encountered in residential pool construction.

A master tiler was specifically engaged to undertake this highly specialised work due to the technical difficulty associated with fully tiling curved surfaces and continuous rolled edges using Eclipse Spanish Glass mosaic. The reflective nature of glass mosaic provides no tolerance for irregularity, requiring meticulous preparation, precise substrate formation and a keen eye for alignment to achieve flawless visual continuity." - Queensland Family Pools & Spas

Vinyl-Lined Pool of the Year

AQUALON "Private performance pool"

An elite 25m indoor lap pool built using modular construction and finished with custom features typically reserved for concrete pools. With welded lane markers, ozone and UV sanitation, dual heat pumps, and a sleek tiled finish, this project delivers high-performance swimming in a state-of-the-art facility—purpose-built from the pool up.

"This project was driven by the goal of delivering a high-performance, professional-grade swim facility within a sleek, purpose-built structure. The design needed to seamlessly blend elite functionality with modern aesthetics, all while being constructed using a modular pool system typically reserved for residential or mid-scale projects." - AQUALON
