About the role

Pool Maintenance Trainee – Start Your Career With Us

No experience required | Full on-the-job training | Great career opportunity

Are you looking to kick-start your working career and learn a hands-on skill?

We’re looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our pool maintenance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting out in the workforce, including a school leaver, who wants to learn, work outdoors and build a long-term career in the pool industry.

No previous pool experience is required. You’ll receive full, hands-on training directly from the owner of the business, learning everything you need to become confident and capable in pool servicing and maintenance.

What you'll learn

You’ll be trained in all aspects of residential pool maintenance, including:

  • Pool cleaning and regular servicing

  • Water testing and chemical balancing

  • Pool equipment operation and basic troubleshooting

  • Pumps, filters and chlorination systems

  • Identifying common pool and equipment issues

  • Providing great service and communicating with customers

  • Managing your own pool service run as your experience grows

What we're looking for

We’re not looking for years of experience — we’re looking for the right attitude.

You’ll be a great fit if you are:

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Willing to learn and take direction

  • Friendly and comfortable dealing with customers

  • Someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work

  • Happy working outdoors

  • Able to work independently once trained

  • Looking for more than just a short-term job

A current driver's licence is required.

What we offer

  • Full training provided directly by the business owner

  • Paid on-the-job training

  • No previous pool industry experience required

  • Support while you learn the role

  • Outdoor work rather than being stuck behind a desk

  • Variety in your working day

  • Opportunity to become independent and manage your own daily run

  • Learn valuable skills in an established industry

  • Potential for increased responsibility as you develop

  • A genuine opportunity to build a long-term career in the pool maintenance industry

  • All the perks that come with being part of a small, supportive business

Who would this suit?

This role could be perfect for a school leaver or young person looking to get their foot in the door and start building a career.

Qualifications and years of experience aren't what matter most to us. If you're dependable, have a good attitude and are genuinely willing to learn, we'll teach you the rest.

If you're ready to start working, learn practical skills and become part of a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply through SEEK or [email protected] with your resume and a short introduction telling us a little about yourself and why this opportunity interests you.
