Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation (depending upon experience & skills)

Main responsibilities
Inspect, test and maintain residential and commercial swimming pool and spa systems, including pumps, filters, chlorinators, saltwater systems, heaters, UV systems and associated equipment.
Conduct water quality analysis and balance pool water chemistry, including pH, chlorine, alkalinity and calcium levels to maintain safe and compliant pool water conditions.
Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing activities including vacuuming, skimming, filter backwashing, sand filter changes, cartridge cleaning and system troubleshooting.
Diagnose faults and perform repairs on pool filtration, circulation and sanitation systems.
Read and interpret technical manuals, specifications and service instructions to identify equipment faults and complete repairs accurately.
Install, service and replace pool equipment components, including pumps, filters, valves, chlorinators, pipework and automated cleaning systems.
Perform green-to-clean treatments, acid washing, and pool restorations.
Operate and maintain hand and power tools, testing devices and specialised service equipment in accordance with workplace safety standards.
Provide technical advice and customer support regarding pool operation and maintenance procedures.
Maintain service records, testing reports and maintenance documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Comply with workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling and storage of pool chemicals, equipment and hazardous materials.
Skills
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Pool Technician or in a similar trade-based role
Practical experience in pool servicing, equipment installation, and water chemistry management
Ability to diagnose mechanical and operational faults in pool systems
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks (e.g., lifting equipment and materials)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
