About the role

Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation (depending upon experience & skills)

Role: Full time

Location: Lane Cove NSW

Main responsibilities

  •        Inspect, test and maintain residential and commercial swimming pool and spa systems, including pumps, filters, chlorinators, saltwater systems, heaters, UV systems and associated equipment.

  •        Conduct water quality analysis and balance pool water chemistry, including pH, chlorine, alkalinity and calcium levels to maintain safe and compliant pool water conditions.

  •        Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing activities including vacuuming, skimming, filter backwashing, sand filter changes, cartridge cleaning and system troubleshooting.

  •        Diagnose faults and perform repairs on pool filtration, circulation and sanitation systems.

  •        Read and interpret technical manuals, specifications and service instructions to identify equipment faults and complete repairs accurately.

  •        Install, service and replace pool equipment components, including pumps, filters, valves, chlorinators, pipework and automated cleaning systems.

  •        Perform green-to-clean treatments, acid washing, and pool restorations.

  •        Operate and maintain hand and power tools, testing devices and specialised service equipment in accordance with workplace safety standards.

  •        Provide technical advice and customer support regarding pool operation and maintenance procedures.

  •        Maintain service records, testing reports and maintenance documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

  •        Comply with workplace health and safety procedures, including safe handling and storage of pool chemicals, equipment and hazardous materials.

Skills

  •        Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Pool Technician or in a similar trade-based role

  •        Practical experience in pool servicing, equipment installation, and water chemistry management

  •        Ability to diagnose mechanical and operational faults in pool systems

  •        Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks (e.g., lifting equipment and materials)

  •        Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  •        Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
