About the company

Pool Blanket Boxes Australia is a WA-based, family-owned business specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of high-quality aluminium pool blanket boxes. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to work closely with the Managing Director and oversee day-to-day operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, leadership, and making a real impact in a small but growing trade business.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing workshop and field staff, managing operational workflows, and supporting the commercial side of the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and coordinating floor staff (welder and off-site labourers)

  • Overseeing quoting and invoicing for retail customers

  • Managing job flow from order through to installation

  • Supporting trade customers and maintaining strong relationships

  • Assisting with business systems, documentation, and process improvement

  • Overseeing HR-related administration (staff coordination, onboarding support)

  • Coordinating and managing annual trade expos and promotional activities

  • Acting as a key problem-solver within the business (with support from management)

  • Reducing the day-to-day operational load on the Managing Director

 

About You

You are practical, organised, and confident leading people in a hands-on environment. You enjoy structure but can adapt when needed.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in operations, workshop management, or trade-based businesses

  • Hold a valid Australian Driver’s License

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Confidence with quoting, invoicing, and customer interaction

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

  • Comfort working in a small, family-run business environment

Experience in manufacturing, construction, fabrication, or trade services will be highly regarded.

 

What We Offer

  • Salary range $95,000 – $115,000 + super (depending on experience)
