Rob Kruber, Chairman
A qualified electrician by trade, Rob Kruber has over 15 years experience working in the Pool & Spa Industry and is the CEO of leading Australian Spa and Swim Spa Manufacturer, Spa Industries Global.
Entrepreneurial by nature, Rob is passionate about business. Having been a board member of a number of peak industry associations since 2011 including tenures as Vice President and then President of The Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Victoria, Rob possesses extensive industry knowledge and has been directly involved in a number of key industry shaping events during his career.
Andrew Jakovac, Deputy Chairman
Andrew has 15 years of extensive aquatic industry experience. His corporate and legal background has led to successful collaboration with industry and government stakeholders, both personally and as President of SPASA Queensland. His technical knowledge is regularly sought after by leading industry stakeholders, and he overseas Australia's largest consumer-based swimming pool contract completion & defects schemes. Andrew is Director of Australia’s Most Awarded pool & landscaping company, Majestic Pools & Landscapes.
Troy Cartwright, Director
Coming from a background of small business and education Troy has 14 years of experience in the pool industry specialising in Retail, Mobile Service, Supply Chain, Human Resource Management, Operations, Learning and Development, Marketing and Global expansion and business growth aided and supported by franchising.
John Daniel, Director
The journey began in 1966 in the Royal Australian Navy. In 1974 I was in Project Management at GPH Highrise Development, then Production Manager at Lightning Concrete before moving on to Production Manager for Uneeda Pools. Jade Pools was born in 1977 and continuing on into 2018 onwards.
Neil Davey, Director
With over 25 years of consulting engineering experience working globally in Australia and the United Kingdom, Neil is a diverse engineer who combines strong design skills with wholistic project management expertise, specialising in all types of projects for sport, recreation, aquatics and community. With an in-depth knowledge of complex sporting facilities, he is widely recognised as an expert in this field.
Elena Gosse, Director
Employing skills from her former entertainment career including creativity, collaboration and communication, Elena has achieved world-wide recognition as an industry influencer and innovator with a proud 25-year history of excellence in design and manufacturing. Elena’s unwavering commitment to research and development has delivered a long list of achievements personally and professionally.
Garth Jackson, Director
Garth is the owner and operator of Triton Pool & Spa Inspections Pty Ltd, a consultancy specialising in the pool barrier (ie fences) compliance inspection and certification. Garth is an Accredited E1 Certifier (NSW) (BPB#2507) and is a registered Pool Safety Inspector (licence #101524 (Qld)) with over 20 years experience in compliance and risk management and is qualified to interpret and assist pool owners in achieving and maintaining pool barrier compliance.
Adam Jaworski, Director
Adam has been involved in the swimming pool and spa industry for the last 10 years as part of the AstralPool Australia management team (subsidiary of the Fluidra group), but on joining brings over 15 years financial, managerial and strategic accounting experience to the SPASA Australia Board. As a Chartered Accountant he has worked with small, medium and large businesses over the years, both internally as well as advisory, working to help support business growth through financial and strategic management, reporting and understanding. He works hard to understand all elements of business, challenges and pushes to find improved ways of getting things done and always tries to look at issues wholistically to find solutions.
Stefan Ossenberg, Director
20 years’ experience within the Building Industry, (10 years of this specialising in Water Safety) 8 years Product Certification experience, Technical Committees experience in Australian Standards (for SPASA).
Lynley Papineau, Director
Graduating from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Commerce double majoring in Marketing and Public Relations, Lynley joined the family business of Aquatic Leisure Technologies Pty Ltd (formerly Aqua Technics) in 1994. Now Executive Director of Aquatic Leisure Technologies, Lynley brings more than 20 years’ industry experience to SPASA Australia. She received the 2001 Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award, & was awarded the Centenary Medal by the Commonwealth of Australia for her contribution to business.

An inclusive culture builder, utilising a wide range of experiences in leadership across various trade, corporate and non-for-profit sectors. He is known for his strong industry wide advocacy of education and training to provide career pathways and staff retention. He is a Certificate IV qualified trainer and assessor, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a master’s degree in business and has been heavily involved in the Associations development with multiple board director roles. Demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit, Spiros has an innate ability to quickly identify and objectify valuable ideas, employing shrewd strategies that maximise organisational capabilities. Spiros is passionate about the industry and is always ready to hit the ground running and deliver quality results for the association and its members. |

Peter has over 20 year’s experience in Vocational’ Education and Training with a specialist background in Work Health and Safety, Training and Assessment Qualifications, Management and Emergency response training. In 2013, Peter was involved in an Industrial Designer capacity to develop Certificate III and IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service courses which are now the benchmark nationally accredited qualifications for the swimming pool and spa industry. Peter has a passion for training and development, enhancing industry knowledge and providing the best experience for learners. |
